FAQ

What is a hybrid grip

A hybrid handle from SIRO combines the best features of a handle and handle strip in an innovative design. The slim shape follows the latest trends and allows for flexible placement – either centrally like a classic handle or flush with the top edge like a handle strip. This allows for individual customization and harmonious integration into the furniture design.

The hole or drill spacing indicates the distance between the centers of the mounting holes of a handle. SIRO The dimensions always refer to the center of the holes. Standardized spacings such as 64 mm, 96 mm, or 128 mm facilitate the replacement of fittings because they are compatible with common holes.

For assembling the SIRO-Fittings are usually supplied with suitable screws.

Handles and knobs with M4 thread:

  • Included M4 screw for wood thicknesses of 18–20 mm
  • Screw should be screwed 4–6 mm into the handle
  • Common screw lengths: 20, 23, 25 and 28 mm
  • If the thread geometry is short, check whether the screw fits

Plastic handles and knobs with square hole (without M4 thread):

  • Special self-tapping screw required
  • A suitable screw is included for wood thicknesses of 18–20 mm
  • Minimum 12 mm screwing depth required
  • Common screw lengths: 16, 26, 28, 30, 32, 35 and 40 mm

Self-adhesive products:

  • Clean the adhesive surface beforehand with alcohol
  • Surface must be absolutely smooth
  • Do not apply any load immediately after application to ensure that the adhesive bonds optimally

SIRO-Fittings are available in hardware stores, specialist retailers and online in various shops.

As an environmentally conscious company, we place great emphasis on energy-efficient production and recyclable packaging to actively contribute to environmental protection. The screws are packed in a separate bag to prevent damage to the furniture fittings during transport. This packaging protects the surface from scratches and weather influences under normal transport conditions and ensures safe delivery.

Most surfaces are coated with a protective coating and should only be cleaned with a damp, soft cloth. Abrasive cleaners or cleaning sponges with abrasive pads can damage the protective coating and reduce its lifespan.
Stainless steel care:

Stainless steel should be cleaned regularly, as dirt can oxidize depending on the environment. Use a soft, damp cloth and, for stubborn stains, a little scouring cream diluted with water. Commercial stainless steel cleaners are also suitable.

Avoid allowing steel or iron particles (especially steel sponges) to come into contact with stainless steel. These particles can damage the passive protective layer of the stainless steel and initiate a rusting process.
